Accounts (FSAs)
Save money tax-free for eligible health care, dental or vision expenses, or dependent care expenses with an FSA administered by HSA Bank. You don’t have to enroll in Macy’s, Inc. medical or dental options.
Currently have a Health Care or Limited FSA through Cigna? Any unused funds (up to $500) carry over and are available in the fall. Be on the lookout for more information from HSA Bank.
What You Need to Know
• What expenses can it pay for?
• Health Care*: Medical, prescription, dental and vision
• Limited: Dental and vision
• Dependent Care: Childcare, preschool and adult daycare (not
dependents’ health care)
• How much can I contribute in 2018?
• Health Care and Limited: Up to $2,650 per colleague
• The money is deducted from your paycheck pre-tax in equal contributions throughout the year, but you have access to the full funds on July 1.
• Dependent Care: Up to $5,000** per household ($2,500 if married and ling separately)

• Health Care and Limited: Use your FSA debit card or pay out of pocket
and request reimbursement
• Dependent Care: Pay out of pocket and request reimbursement from
HSA Bank (this account doesn’t receive a debit card)
Keep your receipts to verify all expenses. You have until
Sept. 30, 2019, to request reimbursement for expenses paid out of pocket during the 2018 – 2019 Plan year.
• What happens at the end of the Plan year?
• Health Care and Limited: Up to $500 of unused funds carry over to the
next Plan year. You lose any money over $500 you haven’t spent
• Dependent Care: Lose any money you haven’t spent
* A Health Care FSA is only available if you are not enrolled in an HSA. ** $1,000 if you earned $120,000 or more in the 2017 calendar year.
